GraveCrown — pixel-art action-adventure by CindieForge, coming to Steam

A fallen kingdom. A cursed crown. One blade against the dark.
A pixel-art action-adventure with no map, no narrator, and no hand-holding — just a sword, a lantern, and twelve cursed realms that do not give up their secrets easily. Read your enemy. Commit your swing. Find your own way through.
The Steam page goes live soon — Forge members get the wishlist link first.
Enter the Ruins
GraveCrown drops you, alone and unexplained, into the ruins of a kingdom that fell. There is no quest log telling you where to go and no voice in your ear explaining what happened here — only a sword, a lantern, and the quiet. The world is the tutorial: you learn it by walking into it.
Between the safe glow of survivor camps lie twelve cursed realms — moonlit graveyards, sealed crypts, drowned undercrofts, sky-high holds of frozen stone. Each is held by something that used to guard it, and each keeps a door that only the right relic will open. Push out from the fire, read the dark, take what you find, and decide every time: press deeper, or fall back while you still can.
Combat rests on a single honest promise — every fight is winnable if you read it. No experience bars, no number-go-up, no grind. You do not get stronger. You get better. And the kingdom is patient. It has waited a long time for someone to walk it again.
Coming to Steam October 1, 2026. The Forge is where you will hear first.
Join the ForgeWhat Makes It Different
An action-adventure that respects your attention — and your skill.
Skill Over Stats
No XP. No leveling. No grind. You grow through what you learn, what you carry, and how well you read a fight. The enemy at hour fifty is the enemy at hour one — what changed is you.
Every Swing Carries Weight
An attack is a commitment — half a second you cannot take back. There is no mashing your way through. You pick your moment, or you pay for the one you missed.
The World Stays Silent
No narrator. No cutscene crawl. No quest markers pointing the way. GraveCrown trusts you to look — and what you come to understand about this place, you earn by paying attention.
Read the Telegraph
Every enemy tells you what it is about to do — if you are watching. Learn the tells, dodge through the danger, and punish the opening. A well-timed strike can stop an attack cold.
Relics Open the Way
Six ancient relics are scattered across the realms, and each one is a key — to a sealed path, a new way to move, a corner of the map you could not reach before. Find them, and the world keeps opening.
Make It Your Build
Carry three charms at once. Every one gives something and asks something back — there are no free upgrades here. Your loadout is your fighting style, and it is yours to discover.
Death Is a Lesson
Fall, and you wake at the last fire you rested by — a little poorer, a little wiser, your hard-won relics still yours. No run is wasted. Every death is a tell you have not read yet.
One World, Two Registers
The cursed wilds are rendered in moody, DOOM-style billboard sprites; the safe havens in warm top-down pixel art. One handmade art language, two ways of seeing a fallen kingdom.
Built to Be Read
The fight is hard, but it is never unfair. Everything you need to survive is on the screen — if you are watching for it.

The telegraph is the contract
An enemy’s wind-up is your window. The whole fight is fair because the danger always announces itself first — your job is to be reading when it does.
Five hearts. Flat damage. No bigger numbers.
Difficulty never comes from a fatter health bar. It comes from sharper reads. A blow is a blow, whether it is your first hour or your fiftieth.
Aggression is a defense
Land your hit inside an enemy’s wind-up and you cancel their attack outright. The boldest play is often the safest one — if your timing holds.
A Dozen Cursed Realms
The kingdom did not fall in one place. Each realm froze around its own last moment — and each is waiting.
Moonlit Graveyards
Where the named sleep — and something still walks the rows.
Sealed Crypts
Stone, candlelight, and things that were buried for a reason.
Drowned Undercrofts
Fog over black water, and shapes that move beneath it.
Frozen Sky-Holds
Fortresses of pale stone above the clouds, still standing guard.
Volcanic Shrines
The summoners are long gone. What they called up is not.
Reclaimed Coasts
A harbor the tide took back, gone quiet where the trade once was.
…and more still buried, for those who keep walking.
Key Art
A first look at the mood of the kingdom.
