About CindieForge

A forge is not a factory.

The Story

A factory produces identical units at scale. A forge takes raw materials — ore, heat, intention — and shapes them into something singular. Every piece that comes out of a forge bears the marks of the hands that made it. That's the difference, and it's the reason this studio exists.

CindieForge was founded by Sean Elovirta, a full-stack software engineer based in New England. Before games, Sean spent years building the kind of things most people never see: privacy infrastructure that blocks data brokers at the network level, Bluetooth-based physical security systems, portable RF scanners that map every device on a network, and an AI operating layer called SELO that brings persistent memory and spatial awareness to local-first computing.

Thirty-one public repositories on GitHub. A browser extension that protects people from surveillance. A complete Linux privacy stack assembled from scratch. This is someone who doesn't reach for existing solutions when he can build better ones — and that instinct is the foundation of everything CindieForge makes.

The move to game development wasn't a career change. It was a convergence. Games demand everything Sean had already been building — systems architecture, security thinking, creative tooling, relentless problem-solving — and they add the most demanding requirement of all: making someone feel something. CindieForge exists at the intersection of engineering depth and creative ambition, and it's not interested in choosing between them.

What We Believe

We believe games should be made with intention. Every system, every mechanic, every line of dialogue should exist because someone cared enough to put it there. We believe players deserve respect — their time, their attention, their data, and their trust. We believe that sharing tools and knowledge with the broader community makes everyone's work better. And we believe that a small team with fire in its belly can build something that matters.

The forge is lit. We're making games.
