Touch Chess is a clean, touch-first chess game you play in the browser. It was built from the ground up for tapping pieces on a phone or clicking on a desktop, with legal moves highlighted so you can focus on the game instead of fighting the interface.
No login, no ads between moves, no clutter — just a board and the standard rules of chess. Open the tab and start a game.
How to Play
- Tap or click a piece to select it; its legal moves are highlighted on the board.
- Tap or click a highlighted square to move there.
- Play by standard chess rules — put the opposing king in checkmate to win.

Tips
- Develop your knights and bishops early and fight for the centre of the board.
- Castle early to tuck your king into safety before the middlegame opens up.
